Social Neuron

Does it handle different format requirements?

For validated live publishing rails, Social Neuron handles supported technical requirements so you do not have to manually reformat each version. LinkedIn personal-profile connection and publishing are in early access, but LinkedIn media scheduling and automatic media-formatting are not yet validated; use LinkedIn's native workflow for those tasks. Company Page publishing is not yet available, pending LinkedIn approval and implementation.

**Aspect Ratio Handling**. Different platforms prefer different video shapes: - TikTok and Instagram Reels: Vertical (9:16) - YouTube: Horizontal (16:9) - Twitter: Flexible, but vertical performs well - Facebook: Vertical performs best for mobile

Social Neuron stores your content in a high-resolution master format and then crops or resizes it for supported validated live rails when you publish. You do not have to manually create every version of your video.

**Length Limits**. Platforms have different length expectations: - YouTube Shorts: 15–60 seconds - TikTok: 5 minutes (but performs best under 60 seconds) - Instagram Reels: Up to 90 seconds - YouTube long-form: Unlimited (hours if needed) - Twitter video: Up to 2 hours

On validated live rails, Social Neuron can trim videos to supported platform limits. If your video is 2 minutes long, the publishing flow can create a 60-second TikTok version and a 90-second Instagram Reel version without you manually creating both variants.

**Caption Optimization**. Each platform has different caption rules: - TikTok: Rewards descriptive, keyword-rich captions. Hashtags matter. - YouTube: Long-form captions work; timestamps help engagement - Instagram: Shorter captions perform better; hashtags at end or in first comment - Twitter: Short and punchy; hashtags optional

Social Neuron adjusts captions for supported validated live rails. It might add relevant hashtags for TikTok or restructure a caption to fit another platform's conventions.

**Metadata Optimization**. Each platform's algorithm considers different metadata: - YouTube: Title, description, tags, and custom thumbnail are critical - TikTok: Caption keywords and sounds are critical - Twitter: No description, just the tweet itself

Social Neuron generates supported metadata for validated live publishing rails based on your content and each rail's requirements.

**File Format Handling**. Each platform accepts different file types: - YouTube prefers MP4 - TikTok can handle MP4, MOV, WEBM - Instagram prefers MP4 or MOV - Twitter prefers MP4

Social Neuron converts video to supported formats for validated live rails during publishing.

**Image Handling**. For carousel posts and image-based content: - Instagram Carousels: Square (1:1) images, best at 1080×1080px - Pinterest: Vertical (2:3) images, best at 1000×1500px

Social Neuron resizes images for the supported dimensions of validated live publishing rails.

**Real-world example**. You create a 2-minute explainer video and publish it across the validated live YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and X rails: - YouTube gets the full 2-minute version with long-form description - TikTok gets a 60-second trimmed version with keyword-rich caption - Instagram Reel gets a 90-second version with trending audio and hashtag-friendly caption - X gets a supported video variant with a concise caption

The supported transformations happen in the publishing flow when you select those validated live rails.

**Why this matters**. Platform-specific formatting gives content a better chance of meeting each validated live rail's technical requirements without manual duplication.
